Teresa (Teri) Barstow

Honoring of the Elders Campsite Coordinator

My journey along the native path began in 1995, as I embarked on camping excursions with my family, participated in lodges, and delved into the intricacies of our culture.

In 2000, I made my debut as a Northern Traditional dancer at the Honoring of Elders gathering, a moment that has remained etched in my heart ever since.

Over the years, I've intermittently lent my support to various roles, including security, and more recently, contributing to the kitchen and assisting the TENA Council.

Hailing from the Chichimeca Nation of the Guachichile tribe in Mexico, my cultural heritage is a source of immense pride and connection. Professionally, I've dedicated over 25 years to the mental health field, offering my services in group homes, residential facilities, and community-based programs, nurturing the well-being of others.

During my leisure time, I find solace and inspiration in art, native crafts, and cherishing moments with loved ones.
